Mason Williams
Sportswriter | Storyteller | Reporter

ABOUT
I'm currently a free agent sportswriter. Most recently, I covered the Orlando Magic full-time on Sports Illustrated as a Tier 1 media member. I am a member of the Professional Basketball Writers Association.
Previously, I spent a year in the USA Basketball Writing Program, and during my time at Indiana University as an undergraduate student, I contributed to multiple outlets over the years: TheHoosier.com, who at the time was a subsidiary of Rivals; The Hoosier Network and Indiana University Student Television, two separate student-run and university-funded student media organizations; and have further experience in freelance/contracted roles with the Atlanta Dream and NBC Sports.
I graduated from the best sports media program in the country, IU's Media School, with a BA in media with a concentration in sports journalism in May 2024. Born and raised a Hoosier, I am proud of my education and upbringing.
A sportswriter by trade, I love to talk to people. Why? Because people tell stories, and I love to tell stories.
I'm in pursuit of my next opportunity to do that.
